POKOTABI / Hamorebi+
葉もれ日+
At Hamorebi+ in Nagaokakyo, guests can enjoy inventive dishes like fresh sashimi and baked nagaimo yam and mentaiko cheese gratin, paired with fruit liqueurs and sake recommended by the owner.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Tucked along a side street in Kaiin, Nagaokakyo, Hamorebi+ is a welcoming izakaya centered on dishes made with fresh seafood and seasonal produce. The kitchen focuses on drawing out the clean flavors of its ingredients, from fresh assorted sashimi platters to crisp vegetable tempura.
A perennial favorite among the hot dishes is the oven-baked grated nagaimo yam, mentaiko, and cheese gratin. The silky texture of the grated yam melds with the savory punch of spicy pollack roe and melted cheese, making it an easy partner for drinks. The menu ranges widely to suit lingering evenings, featuring delicate dashi rolled omelets, crisp pizzas with various toppings, and deep-fried agedashi eggplant.
The drink menu offers plenty of versatility, led by sake ranging from dry to sweet, with occasional appearances by rare seasonal labels. Guests who are unsure what to order can consult the owner for personal recommendations, or explore regional fruit liqueurs and specialty drinks like the distinctive bamboo charcoal black highball.
With counter seating as well as 2F seating, the restaurant accommodates everything from a casual solo drink after work to leisurely dinners with friends and larger group banquets.
